The blog title appears on top with a one-line description and on the right are the RSS and Twitter icons, so you can keep your readers updated with the latest posts and events. To activate Twitter icon, go to Edit Html, search for the code below and add your twitter id.

Remix Zone allows you to display your five featured posts on top with an image and headline below it. You can add the images and links from Layout-Page Elements and click edit for each widget and don't give any title to the widget.
In the main column the post details like date stamp, labels and comments appear below the headline. While in the two sidebars on the right, each heading comes in a orange box, and you can add blogger widgets of your choice.

I'm sorry to sound infinitely dumb......but I am......at least where blog backgrounds are concerned. Can I get this background on my personal blog with pix that I choose? How, please :( You're gonna have to hold my hand here....I am clueless.

Yes you sure can do that, although the size will be limited because of the rss icons on the top
Would I be able to change the background from black to white?
@ Councilman - You can change the colour in a photo-editing software, search for this iamge url in Edit Html -

make it to white and upload it on a photo-sharing site, change this link and save your template. It should work!
i've uploaded the template but have had some trouble:
when i upload photos in the area underneath the title, they appear but with the 'edit' image rather enlarged over the top of them. any ideas??

thats going to be tough, the easy option is to use a template that allows that or copy that code from a template and upload it, you also get codes online but applying it to a template is not that easy...
