One column templates serve as a good tool for photo bloggers, perhaps not the bloggers who want to set up a shop as well on their site but for someone who wants to just write a bit and showcase their pictures, single column templates are a quite handy.

Neonix is a rather thin single column template brought to blogger by Blog and Web and originally designed by Free CSS Templates.

This template has a unique feature that stands right out in the header, just besides the blog title is a nice set of links that make up for the lack of a horizontal navigation menu. The theme is fairly simple with its bright almost florescent green and white colours.

The post headline seems to be in lower case with the time stamp placed above it. The end of the post has the author stamp and the labels with some neat icons. Just above the footer of the blog is a link to subscribe to the RSS feed. The placement of the feed link is good especially since the footer can hold widgets.

The footer is divided into two columns that can hold widgets, this is something I like to see in a single column template, the footer being made more use of. I usually like the header to have a section that can hold more widgets, you can do that if you know CSS, its pretty simple.
